INTRODUCTION
Welcome to my website, my surname is Wass and I have been researching my family tree for over twenty years . There are some things that still elude me but time and patience may solve the mysteries.
While searching for records I've come across some interesting facts one example was of a burial for a baby named Leo Mosely aged 1 month, there was a coroners report due to the death being sudden, the address was 56 Starkey Lane Farnhill which is the house I was brought up in. I also came across other interesting facts not relating to my family, for example a baptism record at Kildwick church in the 1700's, mother fell into labour in the road at Crosshills and delivered the baby in the White Bear pub in Crosshills.
The main purpose of this site is to pass on what I have learned about the families in my ancestry to other like minded people researching the same surnames.
I have included photographs, military records and historic newspaper reports as well as information from census returns and BMD records.
I will be adding more information to the site in due course as and when I come across anything new.
please feel free to contact me if you have an interest or have any information to add. There is a contact form at the bottom of the page but I can also be reached via e-mail at: wassfamilyhistory@gmail.com
The menus are there to be explored so please use them to navigate from page to page and I hope you enjoy reading them.
